“It was a silent, majestic ride over the Middlefield countryside in a non-powered aircraft. For a moment I knew how birds must feel,” says Neil Z.
“Our family loves to visit Geauga County! There are so many great special events that go on,” says Endrea M.
“I just wanted to let you know that I am absolutely addicted to Geauga County. I have fallen madly in love with the county’s country charm,” said Diane R.
What’s your story? We all love sharing our vacation stories and weekend ventures with family and friends. We’re also interested in hearing about experiences our friends enjoyed; it helps us shape our next big adventure. Now Geauga County Tourism is giving you a chance to share your Geauga County experience with the world!
“We really enjoy hearing from visitors,” says Lynda Nemeth, Geauga County Tourism Director. “Whether they went to the Maple Festival for the first time, or tried an Amish-made Fry Pie, found a great new restaurant, or watched a local artisan at work, we share in their excitement in discovering Geauga County!”
How can you share your experience?
A new component on the homepage of the Geauga Tourism website enables you to fill out a simple template to share a story and attach a photo. You can also request a Visitor Guide, fill out the ‘story page’, and mail it to the office. Any stories or photos shared will not be returned, and by sending them to Geauga Tourism, you are granting permission for them to be shared or used for future marketing purposes.
Everyone who shares an experience will also be entered into a random drawing for a chance to win a Geauga County Basket valued over $300! You can also enjoy reading about others’ experiences though a link on the page.
Visitor Guides can be picked up at many area businesses or by contacting the tourism office 440-632-1538 or 800-775-TOUR. They can also be requested online. For ongoing updates ‘Like’ us on Facebook or sign up to receive the monthly newsletter.
