With the days noticeably shorter and the temps dipping below our outdoor comfort levels, many of us are spending a little more time indoors. For me, now that my gardens are hibernating, that means pulling up a comfy chair in front of my fake wood stove (powered by gas), and pulling out last year’s unfinished art and craft projects in hopes of completing some before the holidays are over!
This is the best part of late fall and winter for me. I actually have some time to create. Creating is very important in my life, and I actually can attribute some of that to Miss Car over at MC Studio in Burton. Between all of my seven children, she must have put in hundreds of hours helping them to tap into the right side of their brains which ultimately resulted in the highly original thinkers they are today. It was also very inspiring for me as I watched them delve into that wonderful world of art that enriches all our experiences in life.
Miss Car does not do art for you. She just encourages you along. As your own abilities surface, she somehow recognizes your unique style and draws it out of you. Amazing. If you or your children have never had the chance to sit – or stand – in one of her classes or workshops, now is the time. Give yourself or your kids a gift, a gift of time under her tutelage, and discover a joy you may have never experienced before. These workshops are a perfect way to introduce new students into her way teaching and for current and former students to continue developing their talents. Plus – they’re just plain fun!
Spending time indoors creating can become your favorite part of winter too. Below is a list of workshops for fall and winter along with next year’s offerings through spring (for those of you plan-way-ahead folks)! Check them over and sign up today!
