After months of hard work, Notre Dame Elementary School 4th graders used their entrepreneurial skills at the Annual Notre Dame Elementary School Business Fair on April 26th, raising $2,237 for the Well Project in Africa.

As a culminating activity in Mr. Steve Cavolo’s social studies class, students studied basic economic concepts and applied them to a real business situation. To prepare for this event, students designed a product to create and sell.

To begin, they determined the price based on set-up costs and projected profits. Then, they developed persuasive advertising posters and sales pitches.  All Notre Dame Elementary School students had the opportunity to shop for a variety of handmade products which were priced between $1.00 – $5.00.
