Patterson Elected to Ohio Farm Bureau Board

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – James W. (Bill) Patterson of Chesterland has been elected District 4 trustee for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). He will represent Farm Bureau members from Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake and Trumbull counties and will help govern the state’s largest general farm organization.

He fills the seat of Chuck Lausin, who retired from the board.

Patterson and his wife, Melinda, have two sons. They farm with Bill’s family, raising apples, strawberries and peaches. They also have a farm market and a wholesale cider operation.

He is an 18 year member of Geauga County Farm Bureau where he has served as county board president and vice president. He is a member of the Farm Credit Services of Mid-America board of directors and the Ohio Produce Growers and Marketers Association. He is a graduate of Ohio’s LEAD Program – Class VII and received his bachelor of science degree in agricultural economics from Ohio State University.
