Protect Geauga Parks, a grassroots conservation organization in Geauga County, proudly announces The Protect Geauga Parks Bob McCullough Memorial Conservation Scholarship.

“We are honoring our Geauga County history by creating these Scholarships as a memorial to Bob McCullough, who dedicated his life to education and conservation – as a teacher, as a Geauga Park District Commissioner, and as a caring, engaged citizen of Geauga County.”  ~ Kathleen Webb, Protect Geauga Parks Steering Committee Member

Three Conservation Scholarships of $500.00 each will be presented in November of 2017 to qualified students in Geauga County who are Graduating in 2018 and have an interest in studying the Natural or Environmental Sciences. Qualified applicants should also have demonstrated a commitment to conservation through their extra-curricular activities, projects, hobbies or part-time employment. A short essay that describes how their activities demonstrate their commitment to conservation is required.

With these scholarships, Protect Geauga Parks, along with the McCullough family, hope to encourage a conservation ethic among young people as they learn more about and care for the environment around them.

“Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you.” ~ Frank Lloyd Wright
