One of Fred Astaire Chagrin Fall’s students, Marilyn Clasen in her late 70s, had enjoyed ballet as a young child. So six years ago when Marilyn thought about her youth and her enjoyment of dance, she decided to start taking ballroom dance lessons at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio In Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
On Tuesday, June 17, 2014, Marilyn Clasen took her 1000th private dance lesson at the studio. Her love of dance over these past six years has given Marilyn the opportunity to participate in numerous Fred Astaire regional and national ballroom dance competitions from as far away as Puerto Rico and as close as Cleveland, Ohio.
She has taken many dance cruises and has performed in Fred Astaire Chagrin’s showcases throughout Ohio along with just recently performing at Hamlet Village where she currently resides in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
Fred Astaire Chagrin Falls wants to congratulate Marilyn on such an incredible accomplishment. We look forward to her dancing for many more years to come.
