The Geauga Park District is once again expanding their 2014 Turkey Bowl to include local businesses for a Corporate “Round 2” of bowling.
The date of the event is Thursday, November 20, and you may arrive at 9:30 a.m. to enjoy the chili cook-off and auction. The start time for the “Round 2” of bowling is 10:30 a.m. Bowling attire is encouraged.
A $200 group entry fee, a check written to United Way Services of Geauga County, will be required to participate, and the dollars will be used to help those in need in Geauga County.
Each business, organization, or individual team will bring two bowlers and up to five team supporters.
The winners will take home the traveling trophy and bragging rights until next year’s event. But in truth, the real winners will be the programs and services made possible by United Way and its generous supporters.

Corporate Challenge Turkey Bowl Rules
- Each team chooses two bowlers to participate.
- Each bowler gets one throw.
- Bowlers throw a frozen Turkey at a stack of 10 cans, washing their hands after each throw.
- Their team score is the AVERAGE of the 2 throws.
- If you throw a gutter gall, you must throw again, but you will be blindfolded.
- Bowlers cannot step over the FOWL line. If they do, they are disqualified.
- Bowlers cannot heckle other bowlers (Yeah, right!!)
- In the event of a tie score, there will be a “Sudden Dent” round. Each team with a tie score gets one throw for the win.
- Winner of the event keeps a Turkey Bowl Trophy until the next years Turkey Bowl.
