Badges, Belt Loops & Pins

Two opportunities for scouts in November

Geauga Park District naturalists know all about scouting and are eager to help your scout groups achieve their goals in November.

Girl Scouts

First they’ll offer a Junior Girl Scout Geocacher Badge program on Saturday, November 1, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at The West Woods Nature Center, 9465 Kinsman Road (Route 87) in Russell Township.

Junior girl scouts who attend will work on requirements to earn their geocacher badges by going on a geocaching adventure, GPS unit in hand. Activities both indoors and outdoors will be partially wheelchair accessible.

Cub Scouts

Next, naturalists will host a Cub Scouts Wildlife Conservation Belt Loop & Pin program on Saturday, November 8, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at The West Woods Nature Center.

Cub scouts there will cover most of the requirements for either a belt loop or a pin. This opportunity, fully wheelchair accessible, is mostly indoors but may journey outside a little depending on the weather.

Registration is required for both programs at the website or 440-286-9516.
