8th graders at CMS got a real good “cents” of budgeting in the real world recently thanks to the Real Money, Real World finance program sponsored by The Ohio State University. Students each start the fair with a career and salary, then visit several stations where they use their income to budget and pay for items like mortgages, cars, utilities, groceries, technology, clothes, and all of the other everyday “things”! It’s safe to say that nearly every student walks away from the finance fair a little shocked and surprised by their financial situation. Thank you OSU and Mr. Cappelucci for hosting the event!
