What a Grand night it was for business owner Brenda Bracken with the reopening of her Creative Corner Hair Salon LLC, in Burton, Ohio on March 27, after a devastating weather related flood was caused from bursting water pipes inside her business back in January.
After a few months of stressful renovations, Brenda’s hair salon got the recognition it deserved with the event catered by Traci Burzanko Holzheimer, owner of Dish Cuisine by Design. Traci donated her time and the food for the event and gave everyone in attendance a little something to enjoy from cheese, crackers, fresh fruit, pot stickers, specialty meatballs, finger sandwiches, and an amazing artichoke dip!

Jo Ann Brunsdon Carter, a friend of Traci’s was also on hand donating her time to entertain everyone by playing her guitar and singing. The musical atmosphere Jo Ann created for the evening was perfect and enjoyed by everyone. Special thanks go to Chrissy Hull with the donation of a Scentsy warmer and to Jackie Bright-Clifford for the Lilla Rose Hair Piece, two of the giveaways for the evening. This grand event is one everyone will remember for a very long time. Each person that attended left with a personal handmade thank you gift from Brenda and her girls.
The event began at 4 in the afternoon and continued on until 9 pm with over 100 people visiting the reopening and bringing non-perishable food items and paper products for the Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard, which burnt down during the devastating fire in Garrettsville, Ohio just days earlier. Vinecourt Landscaping & Gas Line Services Inc. was on hand to collect all of the items donated with their trucks and later delivered them to their destination in Garrettsville.
Special thanks to Nick Gusler, and Jim and Jill Vinecourt for their generous donation of time and personal compassion to those in attendance from this fire. With the loss of their Landscaping Business two years ago due to fire, their input was deeply appreciated by those affected in Garrettsville. Jim and Jill know firsthand what it is like to lose your business and what you need to be aware of during your rebuilding.
