St. Mary School overflowed with grandparents and special guests in celebration of Grandparents’ Day.
Enthusiastic conversations took over the halls as students buzzed with excitement to share their school as a part of this annual tradition.
The fifth grade class prepared a special prayer service that celebrated all the gifts we are given at birth and the special gifts grandparents share with us. Students aside their grandparents and special guests in the church, which had each pew filled. Deacon Larry Boehnlein, grandparent to 21 himself, shared a message of thankfulness with the group for the opportunities we have to learn from each generation. The program concluded with each grade dedicating a special song or poem to the audience.

St. Mary School is fortunate and unique in that the school has many multi-generational families. Many of the grandparents who attended the event have been supporting the school since their children were students there. The tradition of faith in education continues to live on at St. Mary School.
