Beginner Fly Tying Workshop at The West Woods

Learn the basics of this delicate art and observe aquatic insects for inspiration and take some pride in learning how to tie your very own fly!

Geauga Park District will host a Beginner Fly Tying workshop on Tuesday, May 23rd, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at The West Woods’ scenic Affelder House, accessed via a special entrance on Route 306.

Registration is required and limited to adults at Geauga Park District or 440-286-9516. A fee of $10.00 is also required to cover equipment and instruction by Mike Colo and members of North Coast Fly Fishers.

Come see some of the aquatic insects found in our local streams, observing how they mimic flies up close and on the big screen, and learn the basics of this delicate art!
