GCPL COVID-19 Update

Geauga County – March 14, 2020 – Given the uncertainty and rapidly changing nature of these times, we are doing our best to determine what services, if any, we can offer our patrons during this closure, in accordance with recommendations from the CDC and Ohio Department of Health as well as guidance from Geauga Public Health. This is what we can tell you right now, knowing that things will continue to change. As changes happen and updates become available, we will communicate them as quickly as we can through our website, mailing list, and social media.

All GCPL Branches remain closed to the public until at least April 6, 2020.

All Book Drops are now closed. For the duration of the closure, due dates for checked-out materials and holds for materials will be extended to the date that the library reopens. There is no need to return any items during the period that the library is closed.

Voting will still take place at our Middlefield Branch Tues., March 17, 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Our digital collections remain available. You can use your library card to access ebooks, audiobooks, emagazines, movies, television, music, and more. Access these services at our website under “Digital Offerings.”

Any reference or informational questions can be sent to help@geaugalibrary.net. We will do our best to answer all inquiries within 24 hours.

The Library’s leadership team and Board of Trustees will continue to monitor the situation and respond accordingly. Follow the Library on social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) and check www.GeaugaLibrary.net for the latest updates.
