Qualifications will be accepted by Geauga Park District until 4 p.m. on May 7, 2021, for management services for catering and food service operations at Veterans Legacy Woods Banquet Facility in Newbury Township.

This request is intended to solicit interested third parties for the day-to-day management of this facility to include the provision for food service and catering. In its former role as Wicked Woods Banquet, the facility provided a similar role in serving the residents of Geauga County.
Geauga Park District’s Board of Park Commissioners approved this scenario in 2019, Executive Director John Oros said, but elected to delay action until a master plan was completed for Veterans Legacy Woods. That plan was presented to the board at its meeting May 12, 2020.
“Veterans Legacy Woods Banquet Facility is our largest facility that can be reserved for public use,” Oros said, “and its scope and scale is better suited to third party management as opposed to day-to-day operations by staff.”
The goal is to evaluate RFQ responses and enter into a contract later this year.
