A Summer of Arts Classes at Geauga Theater

The Geauga Lyric Theater Guild will offer summer classes in the arts starting in June. While the GLTG is well known for summer performance workshops, classes are a great way to learn about different art mediums. There are many wonderful choices.

For the little artists, ages three to five, Katie Arnold and Debbie Straniero will be offering Summer Stories which incorporates the art of Eric Carle into lessons and playful learning.

For older children, ages ten and older, there are a variety of visual art classes. Sandy D’Amico will continue to instruct colored pencil drawing. Jessica Gaines will offer two exciting art classes which will bring out the creativity in children through collaging and making unique art trading cards.

If music is of interest, Lucy Brown will instruct children ages nine to fourteen how to make their own dulcimer (small stringed instrument) and learn how to play it.

Many teens have a story they would love to share – Wayne Howell will help them unleash their writing talents by instructing them in “Playmaking”.

The GLTG is committed to offering classes for adults. Join Lisa-Marie French as she explores many fun dance moves through different decades. If visual art is something you have always wanted to try, Beverle Krueger, a.k.a. Noah’s Child, will be teaching two workshops on watercolor painting.

There’s something for the artist in everyone. A full listing of classes, dates, times, and descriptions is available online or call the business office at 440-285-7701. Geauga Lyric Theater Guild Arts Center is located at 106 Water Street, and at the Geauga Theater, in Chardon, OH.
