Summer Jam Planned

This year’s Summer Jam is in the planning again and sure to be a fun event for all. The Summer Jam is one of many events sponsored by the Chardon Community Action Team, whose mission is to reduce alcohol, drug, and tobacco use in our youth through education and community events for the youth and families. The Summer Jam is held each year on the Historic Chardon Square to provide musical acts of all genres an opportunity to perform.

This year’s Jam is planned for Saturday, June 22, from 1p.m. to 9 p.m. right at the band stand on the Chardon Square. As in previous years, there will be many acts that will include Metal, Polka, Classic Rock, and Singer/Songwriters. The Jam gives our youth an outlet to express themselves, cooperate with peers, and receive confidence boosting feedback from audience while participating in a community event.

“The kids really need a pumped up audience out there on the lawn,” says Annie Marie Wolf of Geauga Music. “We would love to see the Square as packed as it is during Friday Night Concerts in the Park. Imagine yourself up on stage; pouring your heart into your music then hearing the Square erupt in applause!”

So do not forget to come out on June 22 to enjoy the hospitality of the Historic Chardon Square and have a great time listening to the amazing talents of our youth. If you would like to know more about the Summer Jam or would be interested in preforming, please contact Geauga Music at 440-286-8481.  Pictures of the performers will be posted on this website  afterwards.
