At Crossroads Country Cafe, “They made us feel welcome.”

Crossroads Country Cafe has been a Middlefield favorite go-to place for over 15 years. Though much change has taken place in the center of town since that time, the cafe continues to offer up the same country-sized portions along with their good, old fashioned service. A recent guest says it best in this review.

Crossroads

As with even the best restaurants, if you go somewhere that is jam packed busy and you expect 5-star service with perfect servings, then your expectations are not reasonable. However, my family and I went here on a Sunday morning when there were only a few patrons in the place, and we were thrilled with every aspect of our visit. It simply could not have been better.

The three of us were absolutely stuffed and the total bill was under $20. We had to ASK for our bill because two different servers just kept returning to pour more coffee and ask what else we needed, as well as to just to make conversation with us. It’s like they wanted us to stay and not leave.

I noted the servers were sincerely friendly and really paid close attention to all the guests. At no time did I have to go hunting for our server. They made us feel welcome and glad that we came. We had lots of questions about the local Amish, and they gladly answered all our questions pleasantly and with patience and friendliness.

My wife is not a fan of pancakes, but she simply scarfed down their blueberry gluten-free pancakes and was amazed at how good they were, and the fact there were so many blueberries in them that they almost fell apart.

Nothing tasted canned or of cheap quality. On a side note, I also found out their sandwich meats are all fresh without all the additives and chemicals that other places often use.

Overall, we were very glad we came here, and we will absolutely return here again when we return to visit the area. I can confidently give this place a strong recommendation.
