Geauga Growth Partnership (GGP) extends a hearty congratulations to GGP member Bonitas International, a business headquartered in Newbury Township that has its roots deep in Geauga County.
In August 2017, Inc. 5000 named Bonitas International among its top 5000 fastest growing companies in America. As a 5th time honoree, Bonitas International is part of a very select group of companies. Fewer than one tenth of Inc. 5000 honorees ever achieve this milestone. Recognition was previously earned in 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2016.
Bonitas International, founded in 2003 by Kimberly Martinez and Lisa Harrington, both created and lead the category of Identification jewelry, including on trend beaded lanyards, ID necklaces and retractable badge reel jewelry that offer today’s working women the ability to wear their employee ID badge or conference credentials with style. This business, which began in a family garage, now distributes internationally to more than 7,000 gift shops and mass market retailers, as well as on Amazon and their retail website Boo Jee Beads
“We are actively seeking strategic partnerships and capital from firms who are looking to access the 70 million working women in the US in the 25-60 demographic,” says Martinez, CEO. “With increasing security concerns globally, employees are required to have identification to access their workplace. Our track record of continued growth is proof of the consumer demand in a market that is continuing to expand.”
Inc. 5000 is a distinguished editorial award, which is a celebration of innovation among a network of entrepreneurial leaders. The Inc. 5000 ranks companies by overall revenue growth over a three-year period. To qualify for the 2017 Inc. 5000, a company must meet each of the following qualifications:
- Be privately-owned, based in the United States, independent (not a subsidiary or division of another company)
- Have started earning revenue by March 31st, 2013
- Had revenue no less than $100,000 in 2013
- Had revenue no less than $2,000,000 in 2016
- Revenue in 2016 exceeds revenue in 2013
Honorees will be recognized on October 10-12, 2017 at the 36th Annual INC. 5000 Conference and Gala in the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert.
