Congratulations to CHS 9th grade student Cyndle R. & and CHS teacher Candi Peters on being selected as this year’s R.A. Horn Outstanding Achievement & the Franklin B. Walter Outstanding Educator Awards for Cardinal! The awards were presented at a special ceremony held at Auburn Career Center on April 26th. Nominated by Special Education Director Sherry Peters, Cyndle received the award, in part, because of her excellent work habits and independent thinking. Mrs. Peters says, “Cyndle has great attendance and continues to strive for A’s in all of her classes. Her team is very proud of her growth.” Candi Peters, a high school intervention specialist, has spent her entire 18 year teaching career here at Cardinal. Along with being organized, diligent and managing extra caseloads this year, Sherry says, “Candi does an outstanding job building a relationship with students while encouraging them to strive for the very best.” Congratulations Cyndle and Candi!
