Chagrin Falls Schools’ fifth graders have been creating ugly jugs (coil pots with faces) from clay. Students plan to decorate and paint them in November.
“This unit ties in with our study of African American culture and history, and builds on our understanding of facial features from last year,” said Kate Oulton, Art Teacher at Chagrin Falls Intermediate School. Other fifth grade art projects include Inca mask metal tooling and pop art desserts.
