On May 16, Ohio’s State Board of Education named Chagrin Falls High School a first annual “All A Award” winner and Chagrin Falls Middle School a first annual “Momentum Award” winner.
Chagrin Falls High School was named one of the first annual “All A Award” winners by receiving A’s on every measure of school performance for the 2014-2015 Ohio School Report Card. The report card shows the commitment of the school to provide high-quality education to students from every background and ability level.
Chagrin Falls Middle School was named one of the first annual “Momentum Award” winners. The Momentum Award recognizes schools that have received all A’s on every value-added measure, including Ohio’s School Report Cards; keeping the learning momentum high. On the 2014-2015 school year report card, Chagrin Falls Middle School implemented that all students receive a year’s worth of academic growth in reading and mathematics.
“As one of the first winners of this award, you are part of an elite group of schools that are demonstrating that children of every background and ability level can achieve,” said Thomas Gunlock, President, State Board of Education. “Our thanks to your teachers, support staff and parents for believing that every child can be academically successful and committing to make sure that every child is.”
“It is quite an honor for two Chagrin Falls schools to be recognized with these awards from the Ohio School Board of Education,” said Superintendent Bob Hunt. “We always strive to provide the best educational experience, we can for our students and this recognition solidifies that we continue achieving that goal.”
