Chagrin Valley Rotary Club Student Of The Month For May

Cassie Sferra, a recent graduate of Chagrin Falls High School, was chosen for her service and leadership qualities as the May 2016 Chagrin Valley Rotary Club Student of the Month. She was a Cum Laude Inductee, an AP Scholar with Distinction and a Cleveland Technical Society Honor Junior Award winner. Also during her junior year, she won the Chagrin Falls High School Outstanding Achievement Award for Excellence for World Language and Global Citizenship in French and Arabic.

Her AP and Honors classes included: Honors Algebra 2 Honors Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP US History, AP US Government, Honors Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Honors English 9, Honors English 10, AP English Language, AP English Literature AP Computer Science, French for four levels and two of Arabic.

Cassie was a member of Key Club and the Speech and Debate Team. She also played Lacrosse. Outside of school her extracurricular activities, she tutored at ESL Tutoring Child Care. She also takes piano lessons and is a six-year National Piano Guild Award Winner.

Cassie is planning on attending the Ohio State University.
