Chardon’s coolest event returns to Historic Chardon Square this summer, and area residents are gearing up for 25 local brewers who will be present for the 6th annual Chardon BrewFest on Saturday, August 12th.
“Last year we had our largest crowd ever experiencing Chardon Square’s unique character with local businesses, local food and, of course, the Historic Courthouse,”; said head organizer Steve Turpin of Chardon Tomorrow, the non-profit that presents the event. “Word is spreading like crazy, and we
expect sunny skies and another record-breaking crowd.”
From 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., festival-goers will enjoy 15 pours from a selection of 25 craft brewers from around Ohio and surrounding states. Bands will supply live music all day, and food will be available for sale from Square Bistro, Juiced, Maple City Taps & Eatery and Spinner’s Good Time Diner. Plus, Chardon native Jenn Harcher of Fox 8 will emcee the event.
More pours? No problem, they’re sold separately. Visitors will also be happy to hear that parking and selfies with the Historic Courthouse are absolutely free!
Advanced tickets can be purchased 24/7 online at Chardon Tomorrow or in person at Beans Coffee Shop & Bistro in town. Event updates, including a map of brewers and parking recommendations, will be on Facebook and Twitter. Also get excited for the big day on Instagram!
Admission, which includes the tasting glass, is $30 in advance online, $25 for six tickets or more purchased in person, or $40 at the door. Designated drivers pay $15 for the tasting glass and unlimited soft drinks. Everyone enjoys free water as well.
Earlier in the day, the Run for Suds 5K starts at 8:30 a.m.; BrewFest packages are available online.
