Meet Geauga County Public Library Director Ed Worso for a Town-Hall Conversation at Your Geauga County Public Library Branch

The Geauga County Public Library has seen a lot of growth since 1963, and as community needs change, we continue to evolve to serve patrons. This November 7th, we are reaching out to voters to help us fund capital improvements across all our facilities.

We are putting a half-mill bond issue on the ballot. This costs Geauga homeowners of a $100,000 house approximately $16.00 per year. That’s less than the equivalent of many hard-bound bestselling books at Amazon or Barnes & Noble.

  • Chardon: Thursday, August 17th, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 5th, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.,
  • Geauga West: Tuesday, September 12th, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 5th, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.,
  • Middlefield: Monday, September 18th, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 19th, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

About the Geauga County Public Library

The Geauga County Public Library includes four full-service branches in Bainbridge, Chardon, Chesterland (Geauga West), and Middlefield; two library stations housed in schools in Newbury and Thompson; two Bookmobiles that serve rural areas and community centers; a Lobby Stop vehicle; a car for home-bound patrons; and an administrative center where technical services, computer services, facilities and administrative functions reside. GCPL has more than 750,000 books and eBooks. The collection also contains more than 100,000 audio/video items and 400 research databases available through its website.
