
Chardon High School’s Competition Cheerleaders traveled to Florida over spring break where they won their fourth Consecutive Championship Title at the Cheerleaders of America (COA) ULTIMATE International Cheer Championship.
The event was held at the Gaylord Palms Convention Center in Orlando. So far this year the team has won three regional event championships – CCC Fall Frenzie, CCC Winter Beach Blast and CCC Carnevale of Champions; four National titles: Jamfest Supernationals, Hard Rock National Champions, Coastal Battle of Ohio National Champions, COA Ultimate International Champions; four Grand Champion titles, three Tremendous Tumbling titles, two Best Cheer Choreography titles and two Sportsmanship titles; one Full Paid Bid to The US Finals and one Full Paid bid to The ONE Finals. Team members include front row from left: Seniors Kaleigh Smith, Kara Altman, Katie Petersen, Isabella Baker, and back row from left: freshman Olivia Damico, sophmore Kaitlin Altman, freshman Grace Turk, sophmore Cassidy McBride, sophmore Sydni Biello, sophmore Clara Kalis, sophmore Kelley Bolden and freshmen Alexis Shanks.
The team is led by long-time coach Melissa Altman.
