The Chardon Area Fireworks Fund, Inc. has again set in motion its annual campaign to raise funds for the Chardon Area’s Independence Day celebration. To get the most “Bang for the Buck” C.A.F.F. has selected Wednesday night (a great party night!) July 3rd for the pyrotechnics (Fireworks go off at approximately 9:58:39:23 PM EDT).
Donations for the Fireworks Fund have decreased over the years while the actual amount spent for the show has remained about the same. This has resulted in a shorter show each year. Donations are needed from the entire community so please help! Please send to the address below:

Fireworks aren’t the only thing going on that night! The Chardon High School Alumni Association in concert with Chardon Local Schools will host an Alumni get together and a building OPEN HOUSE at Chardon High School in the cafeteria before the Fireworks Show. On display that night will be the AMAZING CHS Alumni Association Memorabilia Collection and visitors will be able to tour Chardon High School.
This Alumni collection is on hand every year for the all-class dinner and is making its annual general public appearance at C.H.S. Yearbooks, photos, newspapers, booklets, clothing, all the way back to the mid 1800’s will be on display for the entire community to examine in the cafeteria. Hours are from 7:00 p.m. until the Fireworks Show! All CHS alumni and their friends are invited. Bring your classmates to show them your freshman photo! You can even see your old classrooms and labs!! Last but not least the Chardon Schools Foundation will once again be selling Glowing Necklaces and other “Night Delights” throughout the crowd. Don’t be shut out – get yours early!
Old Glory Day is July 4th on Chardon Square at 1:00 p.m. with a parade, ice cream from Chardon Rotary, contests & MORE!
Donations still needed! Last year’s donations were down last year. Please help!
