Chardon Kiwanis Scarecrow Competition 


CHARDON, OHIO – After a brief hiatus because of COVID, Fall Fest returned to the Chardon Square on October 2, which was one of our first Fall cool evenings. Lots of fun was had by all participants. 

 

As in past years at Fall Fest, the Chardon Area Kiwanis were charged with leading efforts to construct scarecrows that evening and is happy to sponsor a scarecrow competition, which began that evening. For anyone interested in a friendly competition they may text a picture of their scarecrow to the Kiwanis at 440-796-6477 before October 25th the three best scarecrow pictures will receive a prize to be awarded around Halloween, which is being celebrated from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on October 31 in the City of Chardon. 

 

“It is so nice to see the young families come up to the Square to work together to create a unique scarecrow to take home, said Heather Penrod, coordinator of the scarecrows project for the Chardon Area Kiwanis. “Fall Fest is one of my favorite events held in the city.”
