New Student Registration

Parents and guardians of children residing in the Chardon Local School District and entering grade levels pre-Kindergarten through grade 12 in fall 2021 may register beginning Feb. 1, 2021 via the district’s online registration link, which can be accessed from the home page. Students must be five years old on or before Aug. 1 to attend Kindergarten in the fall.


Open enrollment applications for non-residents will be available at the above link beginning Mar. 1 with the window for submitting applications extending through Mar. 26.

On Jan. 8, Maple Kindergarten student Madilynn Mottice uses the Smart Board as she demonstrates her ability to write equations to accompany number stories.


Maple Kindergarten student Mason Thrasher engages his reading and listening skills on Jan. 12 through the use of a VOX nonfiction audiobook. The VOX library of 50 nonfiction audiobooks was made possible by a November 2020 grant from the Chardon Schools Foundation.


Owen Myers, a Chardon High School senior enrolled in the Production and Welding Technology program at Auburn Career Center, displays his model World War I plane in progress as of Jan. 12, a plane that he hopes to have flying soon. Following graduation in the spring, Owen plans to enlist in the United States Marines and specialize in aviation mechanics.


On Dec. 15, Park Elementary second-grade students (l to r) Royce Whitaker and Xavier Rousch-McCabe concentrate on measuring hair conditioner and baking soda as they engage in a seasonal sensory and science project, making “snow” for Santa’s sleigh.
