Cardinal High School held a special breakfast on Nov. 11, welcoming all Veterans and the Community to attend.
The breakfast gave Veterans and students a chance to meet and talk about military service, which provided students with a unique Civics and History lesson! Following the breakfast there was a special ceremony in the gym where staff and students who have served or know someone who has or is serving were recognized, a presentation on Armistice Day was given, members of the Rolling Thunder spoke, pictures of service members with ties to the Cardinal school district (either through employees or students) were shown, and the choir and band performed renditions of the Battle Hymn of the Republic and Taps.
