Family Pride of Northeast Ohio, Inc. and Cleats are teaming up to support children and families in Geauga, Lake, and Ashtabula counties. Family Pride, a family-focused mental health agency, is hostingĀ its First Annual Holiday for Kids program this December. The program is a one-day event for children, youth, and families who receive services at the agency and often lack transportation and the financial means to participate in holiday events around the community.
Many of these families, in addition to suffering from a mental illness, struggle to meet their everyday basic needs. Program participants will engage in several creative and fun activities, such as making presents for family members, working together on holiday projects, and visiting with Santa, which will be a first for many of the children. The program hopes to raise enough funds to provide each child with a special gift from Santa.
In efforts to support the community, Cleats Club Seat Grille, located at 602 South Street, Chardon is holding a fundraiser on behalf of the event on Monday, November 18, 2013. For every person who presents this article while dining, Cleats will donate a portion of the profit from their meal to the Holiday for Kids Program.
If you are unable to dine at Cleats on this particular day, please consider making a donation by calling the Family Pride Office at 440-286-1553 or visiting their website and we would be happy to share our wish list.
