The heart-warming holiday classic Miracle on 34th Street, presented by Geauga Lyric Theater Guild and directed by Patty Osredkar, will open December 6 on the Geauga Theater stage in Chardon. This play, adapted by Mountain Community Theater and based on a story by Valentine Davies, closely follows the 1947 movie version. All ages are sure to enjoy this beloved seasonal tale.
Another popular community holiday event will return again this year. Santa Claus will be hearing the wishes of young believers at the annual “Santa at the Theater” event on December 14 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. This free community program will include crafts, games, and refreshments; and as an added treat this year, the newly formed GLTG show choir, The Geauga Gems, will perform for the first time ever on the Geauga Theater stage.
Miracle on 34th Street, sponsored by Chardon Smile Center and produced in association with Dramatic Publishing Co. of Woodstock, Illinois, will run December 6 through the 22.
The historic Geauga Theater is located on beautiful Chardon Square at 101 Water Street, Chardon, Ohio.
