Congratulations to Chardon High School seniors from left, Asher Vokoun, Drew Cressman and Andrew Williams who have been named Semi-Finalists in the 2018 National Merit® Scholarship Program. The three Chardon High students, along with approximately 15,000 other high school seniors who are Semifinalists, have the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships to be offered in March 2018. CHS Seniors Kyle Gessel and Crista Parrish were recognized as National Merit Commended Students. While they will not continue in the competition for scholarship awards, they placed among the top 5% of all students who competed.

The NED Show Visits Maple School
NED is a lovable cartoon character whose name is an acronym for Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best. NED is simple, relatable and kid-focused show that uses yo-yo tricks in its assembly performances. By mixing old-fashioned yo-yo fun into each show, the performer delivers a story and message that’s both entertaining and unforgettable. The excitement began with the all-school assembly but the themes NED touches on will continue to promote a culture of kindness and excellence throughout the year.
