Voted 2nd place in 2011 for Best Antiques on Fox8 Hot List!
As the weather gets colder, for many people, the choices for local outings diminishes and they find themselves looking for things to help pass through those short days and long nights. Preferably indoor things! Here’s one great solution – Craft & Antique Co-op in nearby Painseville! But don’t expect to do a lot of sitting – unless, of course, you are specifically shopping for a unique piece of vintage furniture. This 47,000 square foot space will keep you literally on your toes as you visit booth after booth chock-full of anything and everything you could possibly imagine. As Ohio’s largest antique mall, housed in an old supermarket, you will be greeted by a collection of over 100 shops plus two large furniture rooms. Each shop is owned by a private vendor who maintains its contents according his or her own personal liking, which means you will find over 100 very original antique and/or craft spaces all housed under one roof. Why not start all of that Christmas shopping right here and see how much you can knock off in just one day! Plenty of decorations for the holidays will be displayed in every style imaginable as well.
“If you like flea markets, resale or second-hand consignment stores, gift shops, or even museums, you will love the Craft & Antique Co-op. We have something for everyone – items new and old!”
~ Geauga Tourism Council Business Directory
Antique, vintage, retro or contemporary – you name it – they’ve got it! From Americana, baseball cards, and cat furniture (can’t forget the pets, you know!) to xylophones (? maybe) , yesteryear’s records, and zebras – and everything in between – your day will be filled with a stroll through the centuries and bring you right back to 2012
With all that walking and reminiscing, you’ll need to refuel for your second round, so they have conveniently supplied a little eatery, the Apple Cafe, where you can sit and relax for a while with a sandwich, salad, or pizza before continuing your never-ending adventure. But don’t feel like you have to do it all in one day. Many people visit weekly, like Alice:
“Nothing compares to the great items you can find here! I shop here at least once a week! Never leave without buying something!” ~City Voter
