Dog Days of Summer at Geauga Parks

It’s easy to let the heat keep you indoors, especially if you’re covered in fur. To jump-start your exercise routine, at least once a month, register for Geauga Park District’s Hound Hikes in July, August and September!

This summer’s W-A-L-K-S are Thursdays:

July 16 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Walter C. Best Wildlife Preserve in Munson Township
August 20 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Orchard Hills Park in Chester Township
September 17 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Observatory Park in Montville Township.

Plenty of tails will be wagging as you and your canine companion hike and pause to take in Geauga’s finest parks. Pooches will also enjoy cooling their paws in the streams. No bones about it – a good time will be had by all!

Registration is required for these all-ages programs on the Geauga Park District website or 440-286-9516.

Please bring your own dog towels, water bowl, poop scoop and bags for cleanup. Only one non-aggressive dog per handler, who must be able to fully control the dog on a leash at all times (8 ft. max).
