Special guest Jungle Terry joined staff and families at St. Mary School for an evening of safari to celebrate this year’s Early Childhood Expo. Jungle Terry delighted the crowd with a show of live animals including a skunk, frogs and snakes, bringing shrieks and smiles to many little faces.

This year’s event included a special announcement of the planned expansion of preschool offerings for the 2016-17 school year. “Next year, we will be offering both full-and part-day programs for our Pre-Kindergarten students Monday through Friday. In addition, we will expand our three-year-old preschool classes to three half days per week. We feel this will help many working families and provide more time for students to transition to a full day Kindergarten program,” states a St. Mary’s representative. St. Mary’s Kindergarten program will remain five full days per week.

Throughout the evening, St. Mary School Student Ambassadors guided little ones and their parents on a Safari through the school showcasing the Early Childhood Programs and all they offer. Students and families filled their “passports” for the evening with stickers at each stop, then returned completed books to qualify for a grand prize drawing. Stops on the tour included the new preschool rooms now located in the main school building, Kindergarten rooms, music rooms, art rooms, the gym, and a book fair in the library. Each room included special jungle-themed activities for the kids to engage in while families learned more about the school.

For more information on programs offered at St. Mary School, parents can visit the school website or call 440-286-3590 to schedule a personal tour.
