Eleni Timas Receives Prestigious Johnson Scholarship

Eleni Timas, a 2013 graduate of Cardinal High School, is the recipient of a prestigious Johnson Scholarship to attend Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia where she is majoring in Chemical Engineering. She was among only 40 winners of this scholarship in 2013.

According Jeffery Hanna, Executive Director of Communications and Public Affairs at Washington and Lee University, “The Johnson Scholarship was established in 2007 as a result of a historic $100 million gift to the university. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis, as candidates are chosen on the basis of exceptional academic and personal promise.”

This scholarship provides its recipients with tuition, room and board, and allows students to graduate debt-free.
