Fill the Truck for Burton Food Pantry

Let’s fill the truck and help restock the food shelves at Burton Food Pantry!

This Saturday, December 7, as you drive past the Democratic Headquarters at 12420 Kinsman Road (Rt. 87) in Newbury, be sure to have some non-perishable food items in your car! There will be a truck at that location collecting donations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help restock the food pantry in Burton. Monetary donations would also be appreciated, but no clothing, please.

The food pantry is located in the Burton Congregational Church on the Square and has been serving individuals and families who currently qualify for food stamps for over 15 years. This time of year increases hardship for a number of those in our community and the addition of several non-perishable food items to the pantry shelves will go a long way to help those in need. You may even have many items in your own pantry that have gone to the back of the shelf. Why not take them to someone who can put them to good use.

If you have questions or would like to volunteer one day a week, please contact the church at (440) 834-4495. Thank you!
