Fundraiser to help provide safe shelter for survivors of domestic violence.
As part of a May fundraising event, Forbes House, Lake County’s only domestic violence shelter, has coordinated a Caring Hearts Online Basket Raffle to raise awareness and funds to help end the cycle of domestic violence. Up for the winning are some AMAZING baskets! Your chance to win begins by visiting ForbesHouse.org to purchase tickets. The raffle is found under the Mother’s Day Tea tab at www.ForbesHouse.org. Tickets are available now through May 6th at 1:30pm. The more tickets purchased, the better chance of winning the prize of your choice. “This is a fun way to raise awareness and have the community embrace our efforts to end the cycle of domestic violence,” states Kathy Strancar, Executive Director at Forbes House.
Proceeds benefit Forbes House. Your contribution means a peaceful night of sleep, feeling safe and a new beginning for an abuse free life.
Winners of the raffle will be selected via an automated system and will be notified via email. Prizes will be available for pick up through 2:00pm at the May 6th Mother’s Day Tea held at Mentor Harbor Yachting Club should winners be attending the sold-out event or on Saturday, May 7th between the hours of 8:00am-3:00pm at Lakeland’s Holden University Center (located across the street from the main campus). ID required at pick-up.
Themed baskets include baseball, golf, party planning, meeting space, self-care, meal prep and more. Tickets available now at www.ForbesHouse.org.
