Take in the magic of nature at night. Join the Foundation for Geauga Parks and Geauga Park District naturalist Chris Mentrek to explore natural features from earth to sky. Foundation Explorers Series Observatory Park: Night Hike & Stargazing on Saturday, October 5th from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Gather at Observatory Park Robert McCullough Science Center (10610 Clay St, Montville, OH 44064-9795), take a leisurely night hike on the .85-mile Planetary Trail, and enjoy night sky viewing through telescopes (weather permitting). Should weather not be suitable for telescopes, a planetarium show will be held in the Science Center. Snacks provided.

Well behaved pets and spouses are welcome on the hike, but pets will not be allowed in the facilities.

This 1,100-acre park encourages visitors to explore nature from the ground to the galaxies. Five trails total 3.82 miles. Numerous site features include a trail with interactive pods representing each trail proportionate to the sun, a trail with interactive stations representing ways to study weather, life-sized cornerstones of the Great Pyramid of Giza, earthen mounds, henge stones and, via a woodland trail, access to the Nassau Astronomical Station.
