Fourth Grader Wins District Spelling Bee

Congratulations to Jordak Elementary School 4th grader Gage W. on winning this year’s District Spelling Bee! Gage successfully beat out 24 other scholars in grades 3-8 to earn the title of top speller. He won in the 21st round by correctly spelling the word “depot.” 6th graders Grayson Y. and Bethany C. came in second and third respectively. Gage will now go on to represent Cardinal in the County Spelling Bee to be held February 6. Other spelling bee participants included: 3rd grade – Lily J., John L., Kacie C., Ian S., & Mia M.; 4th grade – Carmine G., Kaidence W., Cambrya K., & Emma S.; 5th grade – Elyssa G., Capri B., Amber P., Emily C., & Joshua M.; 6th grade – Elisabeth M., Chelle J., Riley H.; 7th grade: Troy C., & Aubreigh K.; 8th grade – Clayton C., Jamie M., & Carlie W. Alternates included Braydon D., Ora B., Bella J., Anna D., Mercedes B., and Oliver K. Congratulations to our winners and all of our participants!
