The deeper the snow, the better, with at least four inches a must. But whatever the weather, snowshoes are now waiting in The West Woods Nature Center’s lobby for your served use whenever the time is right!
First-come-first-served snowshoe borrowing is still free for Geauga County residents, and only $5 for out-of-towners (credit card only). Borrowing can take place daily any time 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and last up to two hours, with all snowshoes returned by 4 p.m.
Please note that borrowers must be at least 18 years old to check out a pair; anyone younger must be accompanied by an adult (and yes, we have youth sizes available). A signed waiver form and a driver’s license must be left as a security deposit in order to check out equipment.
