Geauga Growth Partnership Hosts Successful Virtual Fundraiser!

Geauga Growth Partnership (GGP) held its signature fundraiser, HomeGrown Geauga via live stream on August 7 th at 7:30 pm. The event was scheduled to take place in person at Sapphire Creek Winery & Gardens, but out of concern for the health and wellness of sponsors and supporters, we made the decision to hold the event virtually this year.

Supporters, sponsors, and community members joined the live stream for a fun, entertaining evening which was kicked off by the Intersection Jazz Trio and hosted by local auctioneer, Scott Mihalic and GGP President & CEO, Kimm Leininger. Virtual guests were amazed by professional illusionist, Rick Smith Jr and were able to
purchase tickets for a $5,000 cash raffle and bid on high end silent and live auction items such as a vacation at a home in France and rare bourbon and cigar packages. Watch party packs were available for purchase and hosts and guests enjoyed a special Chenin Blanc from Sapphire Creek and award-winning Adam’s Reserve Cheddar from Great Lakes Cheese. If you were unable to join us you can view the event here

According to Kimm Leininger, President & CEO for GGP, “It was such fun co-hosting this event with Scott and being the subject of Rick Smith Jr.’s card tricks! The event was a complete success with nearly 650 views and Scott did a great job with the Silent Auction and Call to the Heart. While broadcasting from the studio at Colortone Staging and Rentals was an amazing experience, we are so looking forward to August 6, 2021 when we will be together at Sapphire Creek for HomeGrown Geauga 2021!”
