Geauga Park District is excited to announce the stocking of four waterways at the following four county parks this spring:
- Claridon Woodlands’ Lower Pond (100 8-10” Largemouth Bass & 50 6-8” Hybrid Bluegill)
- Walter C. Best Wildlife Preserve (50 8-10” Largemouth Bass & 100 6-8” Hybrid Bluegill)
- Wild Goose Pond in Big Creek Park (100 8-10” Largemouth Bass & 50 6-8” Hybrid Bluegill)
- Chestnut Pond in Big Creek Park (100 8-10” Largemouth Bass)
A second round of stocking will also take place this fall in October and November:
- Swine Creek Reservation’s Killdeer Pond (50 8-10” Largemouth Bass & 200 6-8” Hybrid Bluegill) – stocking October 4, the day before Jump into Fall Days begin
- Beartown Lakes Reservation’s Lower Bear Lake (300 12-14” Rainbow Trout)
Real-time stocking notifications are always posted on the Park District’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Families are welcome to catch and take fish from waterways in eleven Park District parks as long as they have a current Ohio fishing license in accordance with state regulations.
