Geauga SWCD Introduces Conservation Crusaders!

During a Native Plants & Pollinator Power program with Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District, children identified native plants and searched for any pollinators in action.  Left: Blake Semplak of Russell Township shows off the bumble bee she safely captured.  Right: Brianne Bush and her son, Cooper, of Bainbridge Township, work together to successfully wrangle an Eastern Pondhawk dragonfly.  The first of a new “Conservation Crusaders” program series for families offered by Geauga SWCD, participants identified the insects they caught before releasing them back to their important jobs!

For more information or to register for the next Conservation Crusaders program, Soil Superheroes, on Tuesday, August 18th at 10 am, contact the District at 440-834-1122 or gprunty@geaugaswcd.com.  Registration is limited and required.
