Get On Board for Birds with the Geauga Park District

A birding adventure in Amish farmland awaits you.

Search for soaring or sitting raptors by signing up for the Winter Hawk Watch Van Trip on Saturday, February 4th.

Registration quickly filled up for a morning excursion. So we created this afternoon ride, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., which is now accepting registration at Geauga Park District or 440-286-9516.

Anticipated birds of prey include Rough-legged, Red-tailed and Red-shouldered Hawks, Harriers and Kestrels, as well as Lapland Longspurs, Horned Larks and Snow Buntings – “birds of open country.”

Our van leaves at 1:00 p.m. from Swine Creek Reservation nearby the lodge. Tagalong cars will not be permitted due to lack of pull-off area where we plan to stop. Please bring your binoculars, and don’t forget to register for your seat on the Nature’s Not to Be Missed trip!
