Are you ready for a challenge? Here’s a program that will get you plenty of off-trail exercise, thoroughly lost and soaked up to your knees, all the while honing those often-neglecting map, compass and GPS unit skills!
What: Map & Compass Backcountry Hike
When: Saturday, November 5th – 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Where: Big Creek Park, 9160 Robinson Road, Chardon Twp.
To accomplish our goal, we’ll be exploring some off-trail areas of Big Creek Park, setting a course and navigating from point to point. This will be a fairly strenuous hike with some good changes in elevation as we head into and out of the Big Creek valley.
