The Geauga County Historical Society Extends Thank You to the Burton-Middlefield Rotary

The Geauga County Historical Society extends its sincere “thank you” to the Burton-Middlefield Rotary for its recent assistance on the Geauga Country Maple Museum project. Through the efforts of this worthy, civic-minded organization, the project has received a major push forward. This acknowledgement recognizes the following efforts by the Rotary:

1. Favoring the Geauga County Historical Society, by choosing as an appropriate endeavor, the build-out of the interior of the large display room of the Geauga County Maple Museum.

2. Seeking and obtaining an internal grant from its national organization to help pay for the materials associated with the proposed task.

3. Matching that grant with local funds.

4. Establishing a work plan for the completion of the task and providing able leadership to accomplish it.

5. Creating work teams composed of Rotary members that gathered on several occasions during evenings and on weekends to complete the labor associated with the task. This work included insulating the interior walls of the display room, furring the walls in preparation for the installation of the wall boards, installing a metal ceiling, paying for the rough-in of the electrical wiring and installation of central lighting, and blowing-in ceiling insulation.

Again, the Society expresses its appreciation and gratitude to the Burton-Middlefield Rotary for its labor and funding relative to this project.
