Geauga County Public Library (GCPL) offers a multitude of ways for patrons to experience the creative work of authors, musicians, and artists throughout history. But, did you know that patrons can now find the artistic endeavors of their  fellow Ohioans in the collection? With Creator Space, GCPL has become a portal for creatively-inclined individuals to share their own work and contribute to the ever-expanding collection of art and literature.

Creator Space allows all the dreamers and makers to create, share, and discover with the power of software built by Press Books and Biblioboard. Proudly display your own work and be inspired by the creations of others.

GCPL invites local authors, artists, musicians and photographers to share their masterpieces on Geauga County Public Library. For more information, email club.ink@geaugalibrary.net.

Create

Writers can lay out and submit their self-published eBooks using Pressbooks and then submit them to SELF-e,  where they will be automatically included in Indie Ohio, a collection that is read and appreciated by a state-wide audience.

Share

Creator Space contains work from local artists, musicians, writers, photographers, and others. Those hoping to share and promote their work can use GCPL’s custom submission portals to upload stories, drawings, albums, paintings, and photographs for others to enjoy.

Viewers can even link to their personal website or Amazon page to purchase physical copies of the work. Creator Space gives local artists both young and old a platform to share their art and appreciate others’ works.

Discover

Creator Space allows your work to become part of the continuum of art that GCPL provides. Patrons can now easily discover the creative works of their friends, neighbors, and community members. From music to artwork, stories to photographs, you can admire local masterpieces in all mediums and genres. All of these resources can be found on the GCPL website.

About the Geauga County Public Library

The Geauga County Public Library includes four full-service branches in Bainbridge, Chardon, Chesterland (Geauga West) and Middlefield; two library stations housed in schools in Newbury and Thompson; two Bookmobiles that serve rural areas and community centers; a Lobby Stop vehicle; a car for homebound patrons; and an administrative center where technical services, computer services, facilities and administrative functions reside. GCPL has more than 750,000 books and ebooks. The collection also contains more than 100,000 audio / video items and 400 research databases available through its website. GCPL is a member of the Clevnet consortium, giving patrons access to more than 12 million items.
