Great Lakes Outdoor Supply Helps Bring K9 Rotar Home

In November we published a story about Police Officer Ed Hunziker and his best friend and partner K9 Rotar. If you missed the story you can review it here.

During the month of November and part of December, Great Lakes Outdoor Supply hosted a raffle in order to raise funds to bring home K9 Rotar to Ed (his original owner).

On Saturday December 21, Great Lakes Outdoor Supply in Middlefield hosted a Christmas Celebration including photos with Santa, a Live Nativity, storewide sales and fireworks at dark. But at 5:00 p.m. many friends gathered to see who would be named winner of the K9 Rotar Raffle.

And the winner is…

Jeff Meyers

Jeff is a Police Office for the South Euclid Police Department and was very excited to win the grand prize. The option was to either take the AR 15 Rifle or $500 in cash. Jeff decided to take the rifle.

During the course of the raffle, enough money was raised to draw five more names awarding each person with $100 cash. Those winner are Bill Byers, Blake Rogers, Karen Magill, Holly Hendershot, and Alan Blakely.

Great Lakes Outdoor Supply also took some funds and supported 3 families for Christmas.

Ed Hunziker would like to thank everyone who supported him during this journey of bringing his best friend home to him. “The amount of friends and family that came forth to support me during this time is overwhelming. I am so happy to have my little buddy back home with me where he belongs.” says Ed.
