On a bet, a madcap pair attempt to race around the world in only 80 days. On June 27 at Geauga Lyric Theater at 7:30pm, Phileas Fog and his servant encounter many strange and wonderful adventures, in this adaptation of Jules Verne’s classic novel.
Director Angela Miloro-Hansen decided to update the tale with a “steampunk” set and costumes, adding some topical fun to a well known story. Actors include Erika Hansen, GLTG Executive Director, and several local business people doing cameo performances. The community involvement is inspired by GLTG’s involvement in the Arts Jam, which will be held on Chardon Square beginning at noon and ending with Around The World in 80 Days.
Activities during the day , as well as the show at Geauga Lyric Theater, will be family friendly and a great way to introduce a little art and fun into your weekend.
Around The World in 80 Days will be performed only once, on June 27 at 7:30pm at the historic Geauga Lyric Theater on the beautiful Chardon Square. Tickets are only $6, and can be purchased at the box office (440-286-2255) or online at geaugatheater.org.
